Based on their needs, participants can take advantage of On-the-Job Training, Incumbent Worker Training, or an Individual Training Account to assist them in gaining or developing the skills they need for a healthcare career.

Career Support & Exploration

SWPA HEE helps individuals connect to relevant training, career exploration, and experiences that support them in developing employable skills and knowledge.

Supportive Services

Some participants may be able to take advantage of supportive services to help pay for needed expenses.

Opportunities for Healthcare Employers

Workforce Training

Based on needs, healthcare organizations can take advantage of low-cost training such as On-the-Job Training and Incumbent Worker Training to upskill their new and current staff.

Healthcare Industry Partnership

SWPA HEE-involved employers are encouraged to join the WFWIB’s Healthcare Industry Partnership, which addresses industry challenges through employer-driven activities to promote industry growth and recovery. Learn more here.

Workforce Development

Through SWPA HEE opportunities, healthcare employers have access to opportunities and programs that will assist them in fulfilling high-quality employment openings in all areas of healthcare.

Supporting Those with Barriers

Those re-entering society, recovering from substance use disorder, and experiencing financial barriers or other barriers are encouraged to connect with SWPA HEE to connect with employment or advance their current position within the healthcare industry. Supportive services related to childcare, transportation, training fees, uniforms, supplies, and more are available to participants.

SWPA HEE Partners

SWPA HEE is a regional initiative coordinated by the WFWIB, Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board, and Tri-County Workforce Investment Board.
