Guest Speaker Events
The WF Manufacturing Industry Partnership hosts guest speakers from local educational institutions, community organizations, executive leadership, and even partners themselves to create engaging convenings.
Without open, honest discussion about the manufacturing industry’s critical issues, solutions are not possible. This is why the WF Manufacturing Industry Partnership incorporates open discussions at each convening.
Relevant Workshops
The WF Manufacturing Industry Partnership provides workshop opportunities related to professional development, leadership, DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility), and more to meet the needs of its employer partners.
Information Sharing
Convening partners from various sectors of the community including workforce development, economic development, education, and more ensures WF Manufacturing Industry Partnership partners are aware of the resources and opportunities available to them.
Cross-sector Networking
Each convening welcomes representatives from education, economic development, local government, workforce development, and community service to allow cross-sector networking.
Low-cost Training Options for Employers & Job Seekers
Options for those looking to upskill and are already in the manufacturing industry:
- Incumbent Worker Training: Helps employers upgrade the skills of their current workforce to support new technology, operations, retooling, service lines, products, and more.
- Customized Training: Meets the needs of employers by letting them have control over who will provide training to their current workforce, the curriculum that is used, and which employees will receive training.
Options for those looking to the manufacturing industry or grow their workforce:
- On-the-Job Training: Helps employers train workers in specific skills they need for full performance on the job by offering reimbursements for a portion of OJT participants’ wages.
- Individual Training Accounts: Connects job seekers to training in wide variety of state-approved training providers while also offering career guidance, tuition assistance, connections with local employers, aligned education, and job placement assistance
