The Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Area is administered by a Board of Directors.  More than than half of the board members come from the private sector.  Other members come from community-based organizations, economic development agencies, education, labor and CareerLink program partners. All board members are appointed by their  respective Board of County Commissioners, i.e. Fayette County and Westmoreland County.

There are six standing committees in addition to the Youth Council - Executive, CareerLink, Marketing & Government Affairs, Finance and Audit, Personnel & Board Membership and Local Management.  Ad hoc committees are formed as necessary.
